I
Love my Karaoke Family!
I gotta
tell ya when I started coming out to the Maxx Regal
a year and a half a go, I would have never dreamed that
these people would become an extended part of my family,
or that I would have had osm eof the best times of my
life with this band of misfits!
A
year and a half ago I was a housewife who spent most
of her time doting on her family. Having no idea really
that there was a life outside of being a soccer mom
and a loving wife. Then one Friday night someone asked
me to come out to the Maxx Regal, at first I was reluctant
to go, that's not really me scene I remeber thinking,
but this person convinced me otherwise and I figured
I would go once and that would be it. On the way there
I found out they had karaoke, I instantly thought if
anyone thinks I am going to get up there and sing, they
can forget it!
So
we get to the bar and we walk in and I think nice place,
clean, ok maybe this won't be so bad after all. Then
the karaoke started and WOW these people were singing
and they were having fun at it! Growing up I always
wanted to be a singer but my parents were not very supportive
and eventually convinced me that I would never make
it so I never pursued it. Well the first night I did
not have the nerve to get up there and sing, and if
I remember correctly it took till about week three before
I got up the nerve. I remember thinking, your whole
life you wanted to get up in front of people and sing,
and now here is your chance and you've got cold feet.
GET OVER IT! So I did and by week four I was singing
with the Geeks! I remember Jason saying " Once
you do it the first time, you're addicted" Boy
was he right!
What
I didn't see coming was the bond that I would make with
these people. Once you've been bestowed with the title
of Geek, you are part of the family. And what a wonderful
family it is, we all care deeply about each other and
when one of is in trouble the others are right there
to lend a helping hand, we love each others kids, and
protect and support each other no matter what! And of
course our fearless leaders the King and Queen of Karaoke
(Rich and Cris) are always there to give ya a ride home
if you've been naughty and over indulged!
I
love my karaoke family, but I guess I didn't realize
how much until this Friday when one of us left to go
to Vegas to relocate for a job. We had such a good time
saying good-bye, it almost didin't seem like a time
of sorrow at all, and although I know I will see him
again, it will feel strange for awhile that one of us
is missing. We all realized recently due to a hardship
that we are family now, we love and care about each
other dearly. You guys will always mean the world to
me! I lova ya all!

Awesome karaoke host!!
Body: Hi there Rich,
I just wanted to let you
know that you do an awesome job. I can understand why
you got voted the best. I can't believe that I have
not run into you before, because I absolutely love karaoke!
Anyway, it was great seeing you on saturday night and
you will probably have to put up with me and my sister-n-law
this coming saturday again, because she already told
me so
Talk to you soon,
Carol

I came to Bethlehem,
PA back in mid-July to Our Beerbellys. Now, I was only
visiting for a weekend, seeing some friends. I live
in Virginia, and am a karaoke junkie, as well as a former
KJ. I must say, having been to shows in Florida, California,
Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia, this is the
best run show I have ever been to. These guys are top
notch, and I would hire them in a second, if they would
trek all the way south to the Old Dominion State. So,
on my return trip, I WILL be seeing them again. To me,
they ARE what karaoke is all about. Fun, fairness, patience,
and good people. I dare you find me a better karaoke
show! Go on, I dare you!

I just wanted to say that
Julie, Allen, and I are so glad we found you guys again.
Yours is the only karaoke I actually enjoy going to
anymore and it's nice to know everyone there. i'll see
you's next week.
Your friend,
Judy

You all are great - you
have great music - a great attitude and are the BEST
karaoke performers around (trust me - I've done this
for a long time) - no one brings the energy, fun and
professionalism to this art like you guys.
Most Karaoke performers are only interested in showcasing
their own talent (most of which have little or none)
or do it soley for the money (they are the ones who
care care less about interacting with the crowd - they
are nothing more than a HUMAN jukebox).
You guys get the whole place grooving and involved.
Hugz and Good Luck and Keep me posted .....
Love
Chell
